About The Play

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, is based on the book and fairy tale of the same name. Four actors portray Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy (along with the other characters from the White Witch to Aslan) as they embark on a magical tour to the Land of Narnia through the Wardrobe. There they encounter the wicked White Witch, who represents everything evil in Narnia, and Aslan the lion, who represents all that is good. Together they slay evil and free Narnia from the evil forces of the White Witch. A story of love, faith, courage, and giving, with it's triumph of good and evil, is a celebration of life.

Aslan's Fall and Rise

A pivotal moment in the story, Aslan offers himself as a sacrifice to the White Witch in exchange for Edmund's life. For each piece she removes from the actor's body a punctuation sound is heard. When she succeeds in murdering Aslan, he cries out in pain leaving the kids to think he's fallen. Shortly afterward, it's revealed that those who are innocent that sacrifice themselves can be returned to life as Aslan is reborn.

The Final Battle

Aslan having freed the White Witch's prisoners rushes to the battlefield as a war breaks out. As the battle rages on we hear swords clinking, and battle cheering, as the Witch is seen freezing her opponents to stone. Edmund helps gain the upper hand by destroying the Witch's wand, which disperses a large portion of her power (symbolized by the thunder and magical effects). Without her wand, the White Witch commences her final confrontation with Aslan. Spells and blows are exchanged till Aslan lands the killing blow.

Into Narnia We Go!

On one rainy day, during a game of hide-and-seek, Lucy decides to hide in the wardrobe. As she maneuvers through it, she is magically transported to the world of Narnia as she hears the sound of Mr. Tumnus calling out to her. As she reaches the end of the wardrobe, a faint draft of wind is heard. As she emerges, chimes magically great her as the world of Narnia is revealed.

Freeing The Statues

As the children celebrate Aslan's resurrection. They decide to fly on his back to the White Witch's castle in order to free those trapped in stone. As they travel they hear the thrill of the wind rushing past. Finally they land in the Witch's domain as Aslan breaths on the statues to free them from their slumber.
