For my approach to the show, I imagined that the narrator has already committed suicide and she is merely retelling the events that lead to the taking of her life. We hear a condensed preshow soundscape that shows the exact moment of her death in the hospital.

The script mentions a popular method of regaining sanity is counting down backgrounds from a hundred. This mixed together with various things the narrator heard during her depressive state together with sounds that call back to specific places these events happened. Create an intense and emotional soundscape I want to convey throughout.

In a specific moment in the text, the narrator remembers visiting the hospital and hearing from her various doctors about her condition. In this moment she accepts that she will die. However, not wanting the moment to completely depressing, I took the approach that there is hope even in death.
